This is a picture of the largest Joseph Poli nativity set is church size
at 42 inches.  This set is owned by Trinity Cathedral in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Three figures of this Nativity set  Mary, St. Joseph and infant Jesus should be available by Christmas this year if there is enough interest in them. It costs about $2000 just to make the molds for these statues.

In the early 1900's artists such as Joseph Poli Studios and Daprato produced beautiful nativity sets that were used in churches and other public places. These nativity sets are made from traditional plaster, which all traditional nativity sets were made from for centuries. These sets were displayed in churches. Over time the modernists stripped the churches of all the art work and so they are hard to find  today.  These sets are available for home as well.  Partial sets can be purchased such as the Virgin Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus. These statues will be around for years to come and are a very good investment for any family home or for you local church. Often families will donate a set to their local church for display.  The set pictured to the left is displayed at a church in Pittsburgh, Pa. According to a newspaper account, there were only two sets ever made of this set. This is one of the two sets and the other is said to be in a private collection.  These have become collectors items.

This is a picture of the angel from the 24 inch Joseph Poli nativity set.  If you are looking for a set of the 24 inch Nativity Scene,  they will be available this year.  The angel is available now, and the Mary Joseph and infant Jesus will be available over the next few months.  The remainder of the set will be available before Christmas.  If you wish to purchase a 24 inch Nativity for either church or home contact us.
